The Village of Newton Falls Charter Review Commission will meet on Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 6:00 pm at the Newton Falls Municipal Center located at 612 West Broad Street, Newton Falls, OH 44444.

PUBLIC NOTICE

The Village of Newton Falls is seeking sealed bids for tree removal and trimming. All bids must be delivered to the Newton Falls Municipal Center located at 612 West Broad St. Newton Falls Ohio 44444 and should be marked as “Tree Removal and Trimming Bid” on the envelope. All bids must be received by no later than 3:00 p.m. on May 5, 2023. Bids will be opened at 10:00 a.m. on May 8 at the Municipal Center. There will be a mandatory on site pre-bid meeting at 10:00 a.m. May 1, 2023 at the SR 5 and SR 534 parking lot (NE Corner). All prospective bidders must attend. This project is for SR 534, north of the city and between Tioga St and SR 5. All trees needing removed or trimmed will be on the east side of SR 534. There is a new electric pole line being installed and a number of poles that have been installed to help with areas needing trimmed or removed. All work must be completed by June 9, 2023. The work that needs to be completed is listed as follows: (1) Remove all trees and scrub brush from 1624 SR 534 to SR 5; (2) 1624 SR 534 big pine tree - remove, grind stump, and fill and seed area; (3) 1576 SR 534 maple tree - remove, grind stump, and fill and seed area; and (4) 1495 SR 534 big pine tree - remove, grind stump, and fill and seed area

Requires some mechanical background. Training will be provided for certification for EPA Class 1 Water Supply Operator Competitive salary, health care benefits, sick pay, paid vacation & holidays

The Newton Falls City Council will hold a Caucus on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. in the Newton Falls Municipal Center located at 612 West Broad St., Newton Falls, Ohio 44444. The purpose of the caucus will be to discuss the Verlay Condominium’s request for the private road to become a dedicated Village street and that the Village erect streetlights.
