Finance Clerk, Police Officer, Water/Wastewater Apprentice Operator

The Newton Falls Civil Service commission is accepting applications for the following three full-time positions:

Finance Department Finance Clerk I. Police Officer Water/Wastewater Apprentice Operator

An open test will be held on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in the Newton Falls Municipal building located at 612 West Broad St., Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.

Applications may be obtained at the City Manager’s Office, 612 West Broad St. Newton Falls, Ohio from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Friday or from the City website. Deadline to file an application is February 15, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. Any application received after said deadline will not be accepted. EOE

Police Chief

The City of Newton Falls is accepting resumes until March 31, 2022 for the position of Police Chief. The Police Chief shall have suitable education and training in law enforcement and must be at a Sargent status. Must be certified by the State of Ohio. Resumes with compensation requirements will be accepted in the City Manager’s office at 612 W. Broad Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.

Finance Director

The City of Newton Falls is accepting resumes until March 31, 2022 for the position of Finance Director. The Finance Director shall have knowledge of municipal accounting and taxation and shall have had experience in budgeting and financial control. Resumes with compensation requirements will be accepted in the City Manager’s office at 612 W. Broad Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.

Finance Department

The City of Newton Falls is accepting applications for part-time positions in the Finance Department. Candidates must have experience in accounting and payroll. City Manager

The City of Newton Falls is accepting resumes until March 31, 2022 for the position of City Manager. The City Manager shall have executive and administrative qualifications. Must have successful experience in public administration. Resumes with compensation requirements will be accepted in the City Manager’s office at 612 W. Broad Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.

Law Director

The City of Newton Falls is accepting resumes until March 31, 2022 for the position of Law Director. The Law Director shall be an attorney-at-law and who shall have practiced in the State of Ohio for at least 5 years. Resumes with compensation requirements will be accepted in the City Manager’s office at 612 W. Broad Street, Newton Falls, Ohio 44444.

Laborer

The City of Newton Falls is accepting applications for one full-time laborer. Duties will include cutting branches from trees, clearing branches around power lines, and collecting debris from trimming to load onto trucks for hauling away. Operate equipment and tools typical to the tree maintenance industry. Ability to climb trees using a climbing belt, or climb ladders to gain access to work area. Ability to work while wearing safety boots, safety glasses and hardhat.

Starting salary is $15.20 per hour plus benefits. Applicants are required to pass all company drug testing, and submit to a background check. Applications will be accepted until positioned filled.
