RESOLUTION 10-2015

A RESOLUTION IN SUPPORT AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS TO PURCHASE A VERSALIFT VST-5500-MHI AERIAL MATERIAL HANDLING BUCKET TRUCK FOR THE CITY OF NEWTON FALLS ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT.

WHEREAS, The Newton Falls Electric Department has demonstrated the need to acquire a new aerial material bucket truck to provide maintenance capability for our electric system; and

WHEREAS, In order to purchase this vehicle in 2016 the lead time for delivery is 10 months for the Versalift VST-5500-MHI aerial bucket truck, therefore; the order must be placed in 2015; and

WHEREAS, The Newton Falls City Council acknowledges the request to order and purchase the truck. The delivery on the Versalift VST-5500-MHI aerial material handling bucket truck would be in the 2016 year; and

WHEREAS, The Newton Falls City Council by way of this Resolution supports entering into an agreement for the purchase of a Versalift VST-5500-MHI aerial material handling bucket truck; and

WHEREAS, The Newton Falls City Council recognizes the need to include the purchase of the Versalift VST-5500-MHI aerial material handling bucket truck in the 2016 budget.

COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF NEWTON FALLS, STATE OF OHIO, HEREBY RESOLVES:

SECTION I: The City of Newton Falls City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into an agreement marked “Exhibit A” attached as if fully rewritten herein with Utility Truck Equipment of Circleville, Ohio for the purchase of a Versalift VST-5500-MHI aerial material handling bucket truck.

SECTION II: The Newton Falls City Council acknowledges the formal financial proposal marked “Exhibit B” attached as if fully rewritten herein with KS State Bank for the purchase of the Versalift VST-5500-MHI aerial material handling bucket truck and authorize the City Manager to enter into a financial agreement with KS State Bank upon issuance in the amount of $235,000.00.
