Newton Falls-RITA Income Tax Notice

New: Effective January 1, 2018, the Regional Income Tax Agency (RITA) will begin collecting municipal income tax for the City of Newton Falls. All City of Newton Falls tax payments and tax forms, for current and prior tax years, are to be sent to RITA.  We encourage you to utilize RITA’s electronic filing and payment system.  The system will be available for your use beginning February 16, 2018.

Filing Deadline:    April 17, 2018.

All properties within the City of Newton Falls must be maintained in accordance with Section 557.02 of the Newton Falls Codified Ordinances, which prohibits grass or weed growth in excess of six inches (6”).  The City shall cause the weeds or grass to be cut at the owner’s expense and place a lien on the property for the amount owed in accordance with Ohio R.C.
