The Position
– The Utility Billing Administrator is a full-time, hourly, working
supervisor’s position, appointed by the City Manager and works under the
direct supervision of the Finance Director. The Utility Billing
Administrator heads the Utility Billing Division of the Finance Department.
The Utility Billing Administrator is responsible for:
- All of the activities relating to the
billing, collection & positing of utility bills, and the issuance of
various licenses, per ordinance;
- Schedules & assigns work to assigned
personnel;
- Maintains accurate & complete records of
utility billings and payments received;
- Prepares utility bills & mails them to
customers;
- Accepts & receives utility payments,
including special assessments & deposits;
- Posts payments to proper accounts;
- Balances ledger & cashbook;
- Prepares bank deposits;
- Assists in the development of the city’s
annual budget;
- Issues work orders as needed; and
- Supervises a full-time deputy clerk and five
part-time meter readers.
The Current Utility Billing
Administrator – Linda Grunder
is a graduate of Newton Falls High School and a lifetime resident of the
community. Linda began her service with the City in March, 1988 as a clerk
in the Utility Billing Office. In May of 1988, Ms. Grunder was appointed to
serve as the Administrator in the Utility Billing Division of the Finance
Department. |
